They are designing a new skyscraper called the Father and Son skyscraper that will stand in downtown Cairo. Unique skyscraper concept is divided into three main elements consisting of shapes, styles and designs that implement urban design with a green area.
As reported Archdaily, Wednesday (15/02/2012), major forms of buildings that depict the father and child, inspired by the stone inscriptions of Wadi Degla with the intention of creating a correlation relationship between architectural design with nature. The main reason behind the construction of 470 meter-high building is to reduce the density of population, mainly in Cairo.
Not only put forward the concept of modern, IAMZ Studio also incorporate elements of Islamic architecture seen in the building typology.
"Islamic architecture reflects the true identity of Cairo, and modern architecture represents the time in which we live today. We are not applying Islamic buildings outright, but we simulate it in another way," said one representative IAMZ Studio.
Green concept is applied to the building is visible in the area or the environment around the building and the roof of the building is planted with grass and plants. In addition, openings and ventilation on the entire surface of the building to place escape into the air, also the use of solar cells to provide clean energy in the operations in this building.
