Revealed, "New Mystery" da Vinci painting

The restoration of a painting titled "Virgin of the Rocks" had revealed the details of which have been difficult to be seen by naked eye. The restoration also shows that the painting was made by the maestro, Leonardo da Vinci, without the help of his assistant, as is often alleged.

According to the museum National Gallery in London, England, Wednesday, July 14, 2010. The museum was deployed a team to restore the painting Virgin of the Rocks, which took over 18 months.

Refurbishment of which was clearing a layer of varnish on a painting whose quality has fallen significantly since last refurbished in the late 1940s to make the painting look blurry.

Cleaning of the old varnish allows experts to look more closely at the original scratches da Vinci through the brush. Cleaning revealed da Vinci painting style, especially in the darker parts. This suggests that da Vinci made the typical scratches on the image rocks.

Restoration was also confirmed that the da Vinci painting seems to be alone and deliberately make it complete.

Restoration project showed the former to hand sketch drawings drawings of angels to the head of the main figures in the painting. This is consistent with the works of da Vinci.

Known as "a true perfectionist," da Vinci painting was allegedly left in a state that has not been completed because the time he hoped to finish it at another time. So says museum spokesman, Thomas Almeroth-Williams.

In the past, scholars believe that the da Vinci assisted by an assistant while working on a number of Virgin of the Rocks. This is based on the assumption of the strokes that look different.

The painting was allegedly made between 1491 to 1508. In 2005, using infrared technology, the experts found two forms of sketches hidden beneath the surface of the painting. Form that one is never painted, while others revealed that the da Vinci changed his mind many times on the subject that he wants a picture.
