After Marriage, Divorce Jump Several Seconds Later

DUBAI - A man in Dubai reportedly divorced his wife after a few seconds before they married.

"The man came to me and said he wanted to divorce his wife. When I asked how long they have been married, the man replied, even ink pens that I use to signed proof of marriage we have not dried up," said Director of the rehabilitation of the family and the guidance Abdul Salam Dubai Court Darweesh emirates247 quoted as saying on Sunday (2/19/2012).

Darweesh is surprised by his statement, again asked for an explanation.

"I was shocked and questioned the point. Then he said, if he had just left the civil registration office not far from here after signing the proof of marriage. In fact, he says, he has not received proof of illegitimate," said Darweesh.

When asked why he decided to divorce his wife, his brother-in-law says has forced him to allow his wife to keep working when they were married later.

At first he was reluctant to deny the request in-law, and tried to persuade his wife to resist her father's request. But apparently his wife refused and decision support his father who asked him to keep working even after marriage.

"He became very tense. Then he began to tell how the brother-in-law forced her to keep working despite already married. He had tried to talk about it with his wife but his wife insisted to keep working," said Darweesh.

Reckless actions he has made marriage to be the shortest marriage in Dubai which only lasted a few seconds. (RHS)
