10. “How Will I Know” was written in 1985. It was intended to show Houston’s ability to appeal to a variety of different audiences, including R&B, dance, pop, and adult contemporary. This song spent two weeks at the top of the charts and was Houston’s second hit to make it to number one. Her upbeat, colorful video shows Houston singing, dancing, and enjoying her newly found feelings of love.


9. “Saving All My Love For You” was Houston’s sixth consecutive hit to land number one on the charts. It is known to be the best romantic song to ever be performed by a female artist. Her smooth voice blends with the jazzy background to create a romantic and powerful story of love.
