Our solar system is thought to have a gas planet again

Our solar system is thought to have a gas planet again. This was disclosed by David Nesvorny of Colorado Southwest Research Institute.

According to him, the solar system is now impossible to create without a planet anymore, because the other planets will collide during the forming process. "Without it there is a gaseous planet, the planet that would otherwise be the attraction and as a result out of the orbit, even collide," explained David.

David held a simulated simply by trying different possible orbits. Masalahnya started from the assumption in which the gas planets, like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are very large, so automatically they will tear each other during formation. According to David, the solar system now has a very small probability to be created.

After David added the fifth in a simulated gas planets, there are peculiarities that arise in our solar system. "This anomaly suggests that the solar system certainly does not like this, my theory could be wrong. However, if computer simulations say different things, then there is a possibility," said David. David believes that the planet is a gas giant with a mass of ice and composition similar to Neptune and Uranus.

Other recent discoveries support this theory, but the planet has been out of the solar system because of the strong gravitational repulsion. That way, it is estimated this additional planet in the Milky Way with a long journey. (Source: io9)
