Mercedes-Nissan Joint Engine Production

Berlin: one of the automotive giant, Nissan Japan and Germany, luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz, on Sunday announced yesterday cooperation to produce the engine in the United States. This project is considered to be the largest project with them outside of Europe. Japan reported the site Today, Monday (9/1).

Mercedes-Nissan together will produce four-cylinder petrol engine of the Mercedes-Benz that will be done in an assembly plant in Decherd, the southern part of the State of Tennessee, USA. Production is expected to begin in 2014, with 250 thousand engines help to produce them.

Daimler and Nissan also has partnered with car manufacturers, Renault France for over a decade, and has already announced in the spring of 2010 that they will cooperate on the development of compact cars.(ADO)
